Kevin Huckabee has always been a lover of movies. He spent way too much time as a kid in front of a television wearing out VHS copies of Batman, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, The Land Before Time, Robocop, Hook, and Terminator 2 Judgement Day.

At the age of 10 he began cutting video footage of his baseball team shot by his dad and soon after in 2001 compiled a 2-hour junior high video. In 2003, he wrote and directed his first film project "Anonymity" which he submitted to Worldfest Filmfest in Houston, TX.

Kevin's spare time was spent shooting and editing fun videos with friends, however, it was not long before he began to shoot professionally. It was during that time when he literally fell in love with the art of editing.

From 2005 through 2009 Kevin attended The University of North Texas where he technical directed the live news and produced "Story"; a student Emmy nominated television production. His best hours were spent interning at The Studios at Las Colinas during the production of "Prison Break". There he gained hands on production experience with stage, lighting, and grip equipment. Studio chief Justin Muller allowed Kevin the use of the facility, studio camera, and lighting equipment to produce short films and music videos to build upon his reel.

After a year of preparation, in October of 2009, Kevin moved to Hollywood, CA and attended the Film Program at Musicians Institute. During his 6 month certification program he was mentored by Cinematographer Alan Calzatti, served as Associate Editor for "Jonsi Go Quiet", which was directed by Dean Dublois of "How To Train Your Dragon", edited"Nora's Hair Salon 3", and served as 2nd Unit Camera for "Sex Tax". Upon graduation in March of 2010 Kevin received the (Outstanding Film Student Award).

Kevin accepted a position as 3D Editor and Director at Penthouse where he worked until April 2011 when he decided to resign and move back to Dallas to manage the hard rock group Midnight Empire. During the two and a half years Kevin managed the band, he raised the necessary funds to record the group's debut album, including distribution, copyright, and he secured licensed tracks on "Best Ink". Kevin booked headlining and opening slots for the group with notable bands Van Halen, Slash, Godsmack, Chevelle, Ratt, and Dead Sara. He also landed multiple television and festival appearances including Rock USA and SXSW, and directed, filmed, and edited the band's debut music video for "Can't Get Enough".

Kevin resides in Dallas, TX. where he continues work on various new film, television, video game, and comic book projects currently at different stages of production and/or development including a Sci-fi/Thriller franchise The Gate "The Dark Inside". He has also partnered with producer Bill Civitella to launch Pride & Joys Pictures a full service film, music, television, graphic design, and multimedia production company.
